"Addressing Challenges Caused by Persistent Insecurity & Wide Spread Human Rights Abuses and Conflict in Northern Uganda"
Over twenty years of civil war by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) coupled with the intra and extra Karimojong raids in neighboring countries (Kenya and South Sudan) and bordering districts in Northern Uganda prompted the formation of ADOL (Action for the development of Local Communities) in 1997. ADOL is an indigenous NGO currently operating in Northern Uganda. The ultimate aim of ADOL is to address the challenges of development in northern Uganda caused by persistent insecurity, widespread human rights abuses and conflicts among others. These development challenges have resulted into poor service delivery and abject poverty in the communities.
